Dynamics 365

Dynamics 365 (D365) is a suite of applications designed by Microsoft.  It’s purpose is to help businesses manage everyday processes.  D365 comes in 3 key formats;

  • Customer Engagement (CRM)
  • Finance and Operations (ERP)
  • Business Central

Customer Engagement and Finance and Operations each consist of a number of modules.  The modules are essentially ‘templates’ for managing a predefined set of enterprise type processes.  However Business Central, is a ‘one stop shop’.  It is designed to help small to medium sized businesses run everything from one place.

The Microsoft Power Platform is comprised of a number of tools. These tools can be used to create business applications in a ‘low code/no code’ environment.  This means they can be used by people with little or no previous experience in technology.  The Power Platform is comprised of 5 key products;

  • Power Apps
  • Power Automate
  • Power Virtual Agents
  • Power Pages
  • Power BI
